Victor Perez is a Spanish film director, screenwriter and visual artist. He began to develop a keen eye for film when he was just six years old when he started to make stop motion animation films by borrowing a camera from his brother, who is a photographer and an enormous influence in Victor's life. After seeing Star Wars in the cinema when he was a child, Victor was inspired to explore CG which he became increasingly talented at, so much so that he acquired his first professional job as a graphic designer at the age of 16. He began acting when he joined a drama school in his early teens. While studying performing arts at the Escuela Superior de Arte Dramático in Malaga, Spain, he toured the country with the theatre company Lavi E Bel performing the role of Caliban in their production of Shakespeare's The Tempest. His interest in film grew when he received a role in the feature film Summer Rain which Antonio Banderas directed. Victor then focused his attention on the film industry and worked in post production, editing and visual effects. He gained an honorary degree while studying film directing at the International Academy of Image Arts and Sciences in L'Aquila, Italy, which was founded by the renowned cinematographer Vittorio Storaro. During this time, Victor spent some time in USA studying visual effects from the master compositing artist Steve Wright. A few years later he move to UK focusing purely on VFX. In London, Victor worked with major visual effects houses such as Cinesite and Double Negative. Victor's credits as a VFX artist include Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Dark Knight Rises, and Les Miserables amongst others. He is a member of the Visual Effects Society (VES) and gives master classes worldwide in Nuke™ compositing, color theory, VFX for film makers and regularly publishes on Nukepedia, the most important resource for film compositing worldwide. He was honored by Nukepedia in 2012 when they named him as the 2nd most important contributor of the year. Victor decided to take a step away from VFX in order to dedicate his life to directing. He founded the film production company Masked Frame Pictures where he co-produced the short film Project Kronos which has had an outstanding international response. His directorial debut Another Love has won already 12 international film awards and been selected in more than 50 International Film Festivals from its release.
